Bespoke golf packages are available all year round at the Hotel Inglaterra featuring golf at Real Club Seville Golf, Zaudin Golf Club and Hato Verde Golf Club.
In 1857 after the demolition of the old Casa Grande de San Francisco Grande Convent, located in Plaza Nueva opposite the Town Hall, the Fonda Inglaterra was established. It became truly the palace among hotels in Seville and was internationally renowned as the city's finest establishment. Local newspapers expressed the joy that Seville finally has a hotel establishment worthy of its status as the third capital of the kingdom.
As the most prestigious establishment in Seville in the late 19th century and early 20th century, the hotel has received many illustrious guests, including King Alfonso XIII (1915), Queen Elizabeth of Belgium (1921), the Prince of Wales (1927), Hans Christian Andersen (1862), the Danish writer and author of "The Ugly Duckling" or the Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi (1863), to name but a few.
Today, "La Fonda" is now the Hotel Inglaterra. In 2007, it celebrated its 150th anniversary, making it the doyen of hotels in the city and one of the oldest in Spain.
Since opening its doors to the public in 1857, the Hotel has always kept in tune with the times, adapting to customer demands and committed to excellence. As a result, the hotel has undergone numerous renovations that have transformed it into one of Seville's best hotels, thus preserving the national and international reputation we have enjoyed for more than one hundred and fifty years.
In 2007, coinciding with the 150th anniversary, the Spanish Government awarded the Hotel Inglaterra the Spanish Tourist Merit Award" for the second time, in recognition of the hotel s one hundred and fifty years of history in Seville.
Just 250m from the Cathedral, the Hotel Inglaterra, the doyen of the Seville's hotels, enjoys a privileged location in the heart of the city's historical quarter, in Plaza Nueva, the city's central square, opposite the Town Hall building. Its excellent location and the pedestrian streets around the hotel make it easy for guests to walk to the city's main nearby monuments. A few minutes walk away are the Cathedral with the Giralda Tower, the Santa Cruz district, famous for its narrow streets, stately homes and beautiful squares, or the shopping area brimming with stores on famous streets like Calle Sierpes and Calle Tetun, just a few meters from the hotel entrance.
Hotel Inglaterra has 86 comfortable rooms, 51 standard rooms, 18 superior rooms, 11 junior suites and 6 senior suites, all offering the quality and comfort expected of a top-class hotel. As well as meeting and events rooms, a bar on its magnificent Terrace, varied cuisine and an elegant cocktail bar ("The Trinity") on the ground floor.
